Not much to say today. A little depressed that Young Frankenstein is dead, but mostly just a little tired. So, instead, here's this great pic from Ratatouille I found at Cinempire.com .... With Transformers, Diehard 4 and this all opening in one week next July it should be a wild weekend. Enjoy!

Hope you feel better. They are making Diehard 4? I was singularly unimpressed with 3, I thought that was the death of the frnachise but hey one never knows. If they can make another Rocky movie they can do this too..
Thks for visiting my blog btw, just had not had a chance to read your blog. It's cool.
And with regard to your earlier post...am glad Mel is not doing another Mad Max. I remember him back when we was in Tim with Piper Laurie. Remember that one?
Not much to say on Golden Globe nom day?
How about your film Babel getting 7 noms?
I'm still pulling for Little Children for best flick.
SO nice to see Chiwetel Ejiofor get a nom for Kinky Boots (even if the film was formulaic).
Haven't found the TV noms, but I'm guessing that Lauren Graham isn't among them.
RE: Jeremy,
Sorry, didn't look like your Lauren Graham was nominated. I put up a link to the complete list at http://daveandthomas.blogspot.com/2006/12/golden-globes.html
But, I'm with Reel Fanatic in that the acting world is a little smaller today without the great Peter Boyle. Very sad...
HI!!!
How are you...I am so pleased you stopped by my blog, because I love LOVE your blog so much!!!
Um, I didn't know what the new movie is called...unless the Wu-Tang movie is called something like...
Cuban Linx?
I think that might be it...let's keep in touch I've got to go link your blog right now to mine so I don't lose track ot ya!!!
I'm gonna have to look it up, Candy Minx ... Hip-hop is something that should be way behind the interest of a gringo as old as me, but I just can't let it go ... I seem to remember there being some kind of Wu documentary, but I think that was called something like "Rock the Bells," but I think was supposed to be more of a straightforward doco rather than a concert flick ...
Jeremy, I certainly was happy to see all the love for Babel, and even moreso since it spread to Rinko Kikuchi and Adriana Bazarra (if I'm misspelling those horribly, forgive me) ... It gives me hope at least one of them will get an Oscar nom, and Babel might even get nominated for Best Picture
Didn't realise Frankenstein (young or otherwise) was ever alive. Yer live n learn.
Tim was/is a great movie Sanjay. Got the vid n showed me 17 year old daughter. She loved it too.
I know this is a bit dated now, but I finally saw 'The Prestige' and a while back you said you would be interested in what I thought of it, due to my love of magic. Well, I enjoyed the movie, but couldn't really connect with the characters due to their general nastiness and obsessions. In terms of the magic that was revealed, I don't think any layperson would focus or even really notice it unless they were specifically looking for it. I don't know of any magicians who were concerned with any exposure aspects of it, nor do I know any laypeople who came aways either happy or annoyed that a couple of trick methods were revealed to the audience.
I can see why you reacted negatively to it, javatari ... I think I felt a closer connection to the magic because I had read the book in advance, had I not, I would probably agree with you that Nolan didn't really drop any clues for the audience as to what was really happening
I hope the fact you commented at my blog means you're feeling less depressed. Amazing that the same man who was the dancing Frankenstein could have been the tragically unlikeable character, 'Joe'.
What a nicely focused blog this is! And I'm very glad to see that Spinal Tap is the film that changed your life. Not sure why that ended up on my blog's cutting-room floor. I've seen it enough times, but there were waaaay too many titles that I could have listed. Maybe one of these days it will get its very own entry.
Now, what I would like to know is: Please explain how/why 'Thank you for smoking' deserves a Golden Globe. Coy? Yes. Dry? Yes. A 'top' film? I'm not getting it.
I think it's deserving, hg, because it was darn close to top-notch political satire, which I was sure was a dying art
i love the picture of Ratatouille... Hope it'll be a good movie cuz he looks so cute!
