The most interesting thing I could find this morning were these lobby cards for "Grindhouse," the one-two punch coming from Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, I believe, in April (though Quentin is still shooting his half, apparently, so who really knows?)
I'm sure these won't be great cinema by any stretch, but they should at least be a load of fun. Rodriguez's half, Planet Terror, above, stars Danny Trejo and Rose MacGowan, among many others, and I'm betting it will be the superior flick. QT's Death Proof, below, will star Kurt Russell and will be about a killer, ala Christine. I say meh, but I've been wrong at least once before.
They're even going to the trouble of making fake trailers for a sort of intermission, so even if this total cheese, I've always liked cheese. Especially a fine smoked gouda.

Why?
Because the whole thing is just incredibly goofy, Mr. Higham ... All I'm hoping to find is that it's also a lot of fun!
Oh, man...this is gonna be a good time. Can't wait.
Happy Holidays!
Rose McGowan...yum, yum!
My news today: Harry Potter Book 7 title revealed! Yay! (goes skipping off into field of daisies)
U sure seem to be a reel fanatic to the core!
All the best for 2007 & hope it satisfies a FANATIc like you.
Happy new year!
Rashmi
Let's face it--Danny Trejo is the mark of real quality. Come on, have you ever seen a movie with him that didn't at least have a serious cool factor?
I have to second you on that, Crankster .. I even liked most of the Spy Kids movies, and he was certainly cool in them!

If you have to ask, please don't see this movie. It's going to be awesome, but it's going to be awesome in the same sense that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Snakes on a Plane were awesome. They're building it as an homage to the old, campy, grind house horror pictures, and back then they used to have trailers in between the movies during the intermission. It just shows the trouble they're going through to give us the full grind house experience.
