Dying Cub Fan's Last Request

Before we go any further, let me just assure any diehard Chicago Cub fans out there that I'm certainly not posting this as any form of mockery.

As a long-suffering fan of the Baltimore Orioles, who actually had their postseason ruined once (against the Yankees, no less) by a meddling 8-year-old brat long before anyone had ever heard of that Bartman character, I can more than empathize.

Instead I just wanted to hear this great Steve Goodman tribute to the Cubbies when I woke up this morning, and found that someone calling himself "cubbymark" had posted this rather remarkable clip to YouTube just three days ago. Since then it's already been viewed more than 1,300 times, as much a mark of love for Mr. Goodman as it is of fear about the fate of the Cubs, I think.

Anyways, enough babbling from me. Enjoy this video and, even if you're a Cub fan in serious mourning once again, just try not to smile even a little bit.
