And as for "Buried," I know it's gonna be an intensely claustrophobic experience, but one I'm still looking forward to if I ever get to see it (and hopefully before DVD)Reel Fanatichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09727636643227938924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17556334.post-90150722189976142722010-12-06T20:15:30.808-05:002010-12-06T20:15:30.808-05:00I cannot wait to see "127 Hours"! I think after I watch this, I will definitely pushed to compare it with Ryan Reynolds in "Buried" which is a very good flick and with Reynolds being there for every second of the film, it is a great task which he does considerably well. Also the camera angles in those are nothing short of tricky and spectacular.Ashokhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14817757322994851367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17556334.post-31206941195848673682010-12-05T19:33:19.464-05:002010-12-05T19:33:19.464-05:00Into the Wild is a great comparison, dbackdad, and...Into the Wild is a great comparison, dbackdad, and it's risen over time to by my favorite movie from that year ... I'm a big Danny Boyle fan and was not disappointed.

It can't be overstated how good a job that Franco does with the largely solo acting job. I did see Castaway and it's an appropriate comparison. While Castaway was enjoyable enough, I though Hanks' performance was a lot more gimmicky than Franco's and the story implausible.

I like 127 Hours for many of the same reasons that I loved Into the Wild several years ago: gorgeous cinematography, great acting, and unsentimental commentaries on the nature of society, friendship and loneliness.dbackdadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10700991588554336491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17556334.post-69694441310249931152010-12-05T12:41:57.896-05:002010-12-05T12:41:57.896-05:00You're certainly welcome, Jess ... Not being married or having children, I can still shallowly say that my perfect days involve going to the movies. This was a terrific review.
